The General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re), is the parent company and a 100% participant of “GIC Perestrakhovanie” LLC has its history since 1972, is a specialized reinsurance company, established by Government of India. GIC Re is the largest reinsurer in its region commenced its international business from 1982. By 2010 GIC Re was in the Top 10 of non-life international reinsurers in terms of gross written premium .
